Introduction to tables in html

The HTML tables allows to arrange data like text, images, links, forms and other tables etc into rows and columns of cells. Here is our first example

<table>
<tr><th>S No</th><th>Particulars</th></tr>
<tr><td>1</td><td>abc</td></tr>
<tr><td>2</td><td>mno</td></tr>
<tr><td>3</td><td>xyz</td></tr>
</table>
  1. Table starts with tag <table> and ends with </table>.
  2. <tr> and </tr> are used to make row in side the table .
  3. <td> and </td> are used to make cell in side the row in which we place data like text, images and links etc.
  4. <th>and</th> are used to make header cells. example output is
S No Particulars
1 abc
2 mno
3 xyz

But tables edges are not visible in browser. For  this we have to set border attribute's numerical value like 1,2 3....

<table border="1">
<tr><th>S No</th><th>Particulars</th></tr>
<tr><td>1</td><td>abc</td></tr>
<tr><td>2</td><td>mno</td></tr>
<tr><td>3</td><td>xyz</td></tr>
</table>

S No Particulars
1 abc
2 mno
3 xyz

Now table's edges are visible in browser.
